Use case one
If you have a client in town, a board you need to feed, or a relationship that needs a memorable evening, Steam is built for this. The basement setting makes every occasion feel private even when the room is full, and the wine list and kitchen are both operating in the league where the City expects them to be.
We can take over the whole venue for the day, build the event around the stage area at the back of the bar, or host you across the main floor alongside our regular trade. Whichever works for the moment.

The occasions that deserve more than a round of drinks and less than a ballroom. A long lunch, a proper dinner, the room set to a boardroom feel or a cabaret layout, and as much wine as the evening deserves.
Christmas is the obvious one and the one the City plans for earliest, but we run retirement lunches, big birthdays, and the occasional promotion dinner that needs to feel like an occasion in its own right.

The team events that are actually fun instead of just branded. Steam has a quiz format that has been running for years, a wine tasting that we tailor to the team, and a handful of themed evenings that never get old. All bookable as private hire.
Smaller teams take the back of the room comfortably, bigger teams take over the main floor. The food and drinks package at £16 per head is the usual starting point, upgrading to the set menu for the occasions that want plates.
